Albany man arrested for alleged drug possession

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– Albany County Sheriff’s deputies arrested an Albany man Monday morning accused of having cocaine and Oxycodone pills pressed with fentanyl in his possession. Deputies said Medina D. White, 47, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Deputies said the sheriff’s department ‘s Community Oriented Policing Effort stopped White near Lexington Avenue and Sheridan Avenue at 9:37 a.m. Deputies originally stopped White for traffic violations, and an investigation found he possessed 13.5 grams of cocaine and 2.5 grams of Oxycodone pills pressed with fentanyl.

Deputies said the investigation determined the cocaine was meant for distribution because of it being packaged individually. White was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court.
