One teen dead, another injured after Congress Street shooting

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WRGB) – A teenager has died, and another was taken to the hospital, after a reported shooting in Schenectady Saturday night. According to a release, Schenectady Police officers responded to the 1100 block of Congress Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues, at approximately 11:20 p.m. for multiple reports of gunfire. On scene, officers reportedly found a large crowd running from the area, before noticing a 15-year-old boy in the backyard of 1122 Congress Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso.
