Albany FD wins 8th annual CDTA Pink Bus Pull

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– The Albany Fire Department has defended its titles as Bus Pull Champions during the eighth annual CDTA Pink Bus Pull. The fundraising event took place on Friday, Oct. 18 with teams of eight pulling the bus 30 feet, as fast as possible.

The fundraiser is part of the CDTA’s partnership with the American Cancer Society on its Men Wear Pink campaign. The Siena College baseball team came in second place, and the Albany County Sheriff’s Office came in third.

CDTA launching electric scooter rental program

Other teams included the Broadview Federal Credit Union, The Rosenblum Companies, United Way of the Greater Capital Region and Creighton Manning. So far, the CDTA has raised around $15,000 for the campaign.

CDTA’s pink buses are currently operating throughout the Capital Region. The CDTA has also participated with Camelot Print & Copy, Ted’s Fish Fry and Lamar Advertising to raise additional awareness of the campaign and raise even more money by showcasing their logos on the pink buses in recognition of their donations.
