ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Albany Police announced that a Sullivan County man has been arrested in connection to a homicide investigation . Jonte Wunner, 26, of Monticello, is facing multiple felony charges.

On October 20 just after midnight, police responded to 260 North Pearl Street following reports of someone being shot in the area. Arriving officers located Mohammed Poquee , 49, of Albany, who had sustained several gunshot wounds.
Poquee was tended to on the scene by emergency medical personnel before being taken to Albany Medical Center, where he was later declared dead. According to detectives, Wunner was identified as a suspect during the ensuing investigation, resulting in his arrest.

While being taken into custody, Wunner was allegedly found with a loaded handgun. He was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
