COLONIE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Nordstrom Rack is closing up shop in Colonie Center. The news was confirmed by the mall, as well as a WARN notice posted on the New York State Department of Labor website .

“Nordstrom Rack has been an asset to Colonie Center for 10 years and we are saddened to see this retailer leave,” said Colonie Center Management. “We’ll use this transition to thoughtfully assess and adapt the property to meet both current and future community needs.”
According to the WARN notice, 19 Nordstrom Rack employees will be affected. The store’s closing date is set for February 1. The reason for the closure is listed as “expiration of lease.”

Nordstrom’s press relations team did not immediately respond to NEWS10’s request for comment. Nordstrom Rack in Syracuse’s Destiny USA is also set to close in February.
