POUGHKEEPSIE – The State Police have announced a change in leadership for Troop K, which covers Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Columbia counties, effective January 2, 2025.
Major Mark Nielson, 51, is the 38th Troop K commander, replacing Major Kathryne Rhode who has been named staff inspector in the Professional Standards Bureau at the State Police Headquarters in Albany.
