Albany sees rise in fires at vacant homes, squatters suspected

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB)- The city of Albany has experienced two major fires in vacant homes since the start of the new year, with authorities saying squatters were involved.

Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory said,

So they weren’t supposed to be in there, but reports from that our fire investigators are receiving from bystanders, neighbors, was that people were occupying that building…
