The honors ensemble gathers high-performing musicians in grades 9 through 12 to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Brue was first nominated to the ensemble’s Honors Selection Board by the Mechanicville High School band director, Taylor Robey. He then auditioned and, after a review by the selection committee, was accepted into the Honors Band.
“I’m so excited to play at Carnegie Hall – it’s a musician’s dream,” Brue said. “I hope this is just the first time I get to play at Carnegie Hall, and I hope I’m as excited to play at Carnegie Hall every time as I am this first time.”
