ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple was honored by the New York State Sheriff’s Institute with the “most prestigious award” at the 2025 Annual Winter Training Conference.
Sheriff Apple expressed his gratitude in a Facebook post.
Truly humbled this week to receive the prestigious “Grover Cleveland” award, the highest honor bestowed upon a NY Sheriff. Grover Cleveland’s remarkable legacy as the first president to serve two non-consecutive terms and as a NY Sheriff inspires me deeply. Being one of America’s Sheriffs is an extraordinary privilege that I cherish and take very seriously. Congratulations Mike Zurlo, on also receiving this esteemed award and on your well-deserved retirement. For me, this award is a powerful reminder that my work is just beginning! Thank you!…
