Advocates: Correction workers’ convictions part of a long road toward justice

The Center for Law and Justice in Albany released a statement on Friday, after six correction workers at Marcy Correctional Facility were charged with murder in the death of Robert Brooks.

Several others were charged with manslaughter.

“This is only the beginning of a long road toward justice,” the statement read. “We will continue to monitor this case closely, advocating for transparency, due process, and systemic reforms to prevent future tragedies.”…
