Auto Parts Chain Closes New York Stores

A popular name in auto parts has announced its plans to close a massive number of locations, including seven stores in New York.

Back in November we learned that one of the biggest names in auto parts had begun to lay out its plans to close a massive number of its more than 4,700 stores across the country as the company attempts to improve its business performance in the future.

Advance Auto Parts Closing Stores

At the time, company president and chief executive officer Shane O’Kelly shared the company vision with investors, telling them that it has identified opportunities that it believes can improve its operating income margin over the next few years. The plan would include closing 727 Advance Auto Parts stores across the country, including 523 Advance Auto Parts corporate stores, 204 independent locations, and four of its distribution centers.

When the company made the announcement, they didn’t identify which locations would be closing or when, but now it appears we have a clearer picture of which stores will be closing, at least in New York.
