Meteorologist Sam Coplin is leaving CBS6 Albany. He made the announcement Saturday on-air as well as on social media.
“It’s only been just over two years, which seems small but the impact has been huge. It has been a tremendous opportunity to explore a path that I have always wanted to trek down since I was young,” wrote Coplin. “A path that I was contemplating not taking, but decided to give it my best shot and I’m very glad I did.”
Coplin graduated from Cornell University in 2022 with a degree in atmospheric science and meteorology. While at Cornell, the scientist volunteered at ICTV, the television station that broadcasts from Ithaca College, which is right down the road from the Ivy League university.
