HALFMOON, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Rollin’ Smoke Handcrafted BBQ & Saloon in Halfmoon has closed its doors. The restaurant’s last day was on Saturday, March 8.

Owners Rob and Amy Carmel announced on Facebook on March 4 that they would be closing the restaurant. March 4 was also Rollin’ Smoke’s five-year anniversary.
“We were presented with an offer from another restaurant group to buy us out and as a small family owned and operated business and after a lot of sleepless nights of pondering, we have decided to accept the offer and move forward to the next chapter of our lives,” read the Facebook post.

Rollin’ Smoke was originally located at 222 Guideboard Road in Halfmoon before moving to the former Halfmoon Sandwich and Salad Shoppe space at 1613 Route 9 in January 2023. The restaurant served a variety of barbecue meats and sides.
The owners did not immediately respond to NEWS10’s request for comment.
