Man charged in deadly Albany dog attack back in court Friday

The man charged in connection with October’s deadly dog attack in Albany was back in court on Friday.

Omar Daniels, 44, is facing charges of second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and three counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.

James Provost, 60, was attacked by as many as nine dogs in the rear yard of 594 Central Ave. on Oct. 9 just before 6 p.m. A police officer shot one of the dogs to stop the attack. Provost was pronounced dead at the scene…
