Hochul will not renew executive order that bars corrections officers from working in government jobs, Assemblyman says

An executive order barring corrections officers who were participated in illegal strikes from working in state and local government positions will expire April 9 and will not be renewed, according to Assemblyman Scott Gray, R-Watertown,

The controversial order came down from Gov. Kathy Hochul following strikes that forced the state to deploy the National Guard to stabilize the prisons.
