Albany man pleads guilty to razor attack, faces 18-year sentence

Albany, NY — Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced today, an Albany man has admitted to a violent razor attack.

31-year old Olonjadae Rouse pled guilty to Assault in the First Degree, in exchange for a sentence of 18 years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision.

The incident occurred on the morning of March 4, 2025, when Rouse and the victim engaged in a verbal dispute that escalated. Rouse pulled out a razor blade and inflicted severe cuts to the victim’s head, face, and neck, necessitating immediate medical attention and a lengthy hospital stay…
