Troy comptroller resigns after just 3 months in role

TROY — City Comptroller Jack Krokos has resigned less than three months into the job, officials confirmed this week.

Krokos left the position “due to family obligations,” Mayor Carmella Mantello said in a statement dated Wednesday, which was sent out Thursday morning. Alex Horton, a spokesman for Mantello, said the city received his resignation after 5 p.m. Wednesday, effective that day.
