Albany couple arraigned for setting dog on fire

Albany, NY — Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced that two individuals have been arraigned on charges related to setting fire to their dog after leaving the animal alone for nearly two weeks.

34-year-old Christopher Maxwell faces a six-count indictment, including charges of aggravated cruelty to animals, overdriving, torturing, injuring and not feeding an animal, arson in the fifth degree, criminal mischief with intent to damage property, and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.
