ALBANY — Two men were accused of killing Destiny Greene, the 15-year-old Colonie high school student who was gunned down nearly four years ago in the city’s Mansion neighborhood.

But neither will serve time for murder.

Sincere Cancer, who was originally charged with second-degree murder in the teen’s death on May 24, 2021, pleaded guilty to attempted murder during a court appearance Wednesday in front of Albany County Court Judge Andra Ackerman, according to the district attorney’s office. The 22-year-old Schenectady man faced a sentence of 25 years to life in prison for the murder charge, but his plea bargain with prosecutors calls for a sentence of 25 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision after he completes his prison term…
