Halfmoon, NY — A routine traffic stop for speeding on U.S. Route 9 in the town of Halfmoon led to the arrest of a Cohoes man on Thursday night.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said 29-year-old Rodney Smith was taken into custody at 10:24 PM for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, a class E felony, and speeding.
Smith is accused of operating a vehicle while having 17 suspensions on his license, imposed on 10 separate dates, for failing to answer, appear, or pay fines…
