SCHENECTADY — The line outside the Department of Motor Vehicles office was dozens deep Thursday morning as procrastinators waited for the doors to open to get Real IDs, the upgraded driver’s license that in two weeks will be required to get on a domestic flight in the U.S.
Once inside, they faced hours waiting to get to a window.
“It’s pandemonium,” an official said after doors were closed early at the DMV on Wednesday. Plenty of people — including those with other DMV business — were still inside waiting to complete transactions…
