Albany, NY (WRGB) — Albany County officials say they’re awaiting a court decision in a lawsuit that has delayed demolition of the city’s long-vacant Central Warehouse building.
Albany County Executive Dan McCoy said Friday that legal proceedings have slowed down progress, but that officials are hoping to move forward following a May 1 court decision
“I was hoping it was going to be done this year,” McCoy said in an interview with CBS6. “Unfortunately, you know, hey, it’s the law. We got sued. They had the right to do what they did, though I don’t agree with it. But we go to court, we get a decision on May 1st, I believe. So whenever that decision is made after May 1st, we’re going to get right to work.”…
