There are many chain restaurants in and around Clifton Park. But one of the most popular had to close temporarily. What happened to cause this favorite to close its doors?
Scrolling through the Nextdoor app (a message app for neighborhoods), I noticed that someone asked if anyone knew why the Outback Steakhouse on Plank Road in Clifton Park was closed. They were curious because Saturday night, the parking lot was empty and the restaurant was dark.
I decided to investigate. As I made my way into the parking lot, I noticed there was one car. When I looked at the front doors, an employee was sitting at a table outside to greet anyone who might stop by for lunch or dinner.
Why Was The Ouback Closed?
When she approached my car, she explained that the restaurant had a power issue. There was a water leak that affected the breaker, causing the power to go out. She explained that they had no choice but to close until the equipment was fixed. For my trouble, she handed me a card for a free Bloomin’ Onion.
