Schenectady man pleads guilty to gun, drug charges

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– A Schenectady man pleaded guilty to drug and gun possession charges in Federal court Friday. According to the United States Department of Justice, Anthony Sindoni, 37, admitted to having three guns to further drug trafficking crimes and having drugs with the intention to distribute them.

Officials said Sindoni admitted to having a Keltec P-32 .32 caliber pistol, a Polymer 80 PF940C 9mm pistol, and a Mossberg 20-gauge pump shotgun to further a drug trafficking crime. He also admitted to having over 754 grams of methamphetamine, 520 grams of fentanyl, 454 grams of cocaine, and 17 grams of heroin, with the intent to sell and distribute it.

Sindoni faces 15 to life in prison, a fine up to $10 million and a probation term of 5 years to life. However, his sentence is determined by a judge, based on the statutes he is charged with violating.
