ALBANY — A 38-year-old city man who drove drunk and high will spend more than a decade in state prison for a Nov. 18, 2022, crash that left a friend dead, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
Judge Andra Ackerman sentenced Caezare Ebron to 12½ to 25 years in custody for his guilty plea to aggravated vehicular homicide and a separate seven years in prison on an attempted weapons possession conviction. The judge ordered Ebron to serve one sentence before beginning the other.
Police found Ebron asleep at the wheel when they approached his car at the intersection of Central and North Lake avenues. Ebron drove off, topping speeds of 80 mph as he tried to get away from police. Prosecutors said he ran a stop sign at Bradford and Ontario streets before striking another car…
