SCHENECTADY — The homeowner who shot and killed a man last week during an apparent home invasion at a Hamburg Street residence will be charged with a gun offense but not murder, according to Schenectady County District Attorney Robert Carney.
He said Tuesday morning that the violent confrontation last Thursday appears to be a “justified use of deadly physical force in defense of his person and his home, that is where so far the facts have turned.”
