Troy man indicted for two separate shootings in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Albany County District Attorney’s Office announced that 18-year-old Christian Keith of Troy has been indicted in connection to two separate shooting incidents in Albany. Keith was arraigned on Wednesday on two counts of attempted murder, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

On July 30, 2024, Albany Police located a 30-year-old man who had been shot in the back near the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Lark Street. The victim ultimately survived after undergoing emergency surgery at Albany Medical Center.

During the resulting investigation, Keith was identified as a suspect using video surveillance footage from the area, but detectives weren’t able to locate him during search efforts. Eight months later on March 11, 2025, around 1:45 p.m., police responded to a report of someone firing a gun at another person inside a car on Lark Drive near Manning Boulevard.

Two arrested on kidnapping charges in Montgomery County missing child investigation

Detectives were able to stop a car fleeing the vicinity near Sheridan Avenue and Chapel Street. Police identified the driver as Keith, who was taken into custody at the scene without further incident.

Keith pleaded not guilty to all charges in both incidents before Judge Andra Ackerman. He was then released on a bond of $100,000. Assistant District Attorney Stephen Lydon is heading the case’s prosecution…
