Clements admitted to receiving packages of marijuana shipped from a shipping store in Fresno to his home and a restaurant in Troy. He also admitted to laundering marijuana and THC proceeds for the organization.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Clements arranged shipments of marijuana to his sister and aunt, both named co-defendants, then was paid between $300 and $400 for each package received. Officials said between June 2018 and May 2022, Clements received and coordinated the receipt of about 2,429 pounds of marijuana.

Officials said Clements also exchanged $110,200 in drug proceeds for larger bills at banks, purchased over $127,000 in cashier’s checks with the drug proceeds and sent over $20,000 in money transfers from the Capital Region to California.
