Troy man sent to prison for ‘brutish’ attack on Shogun Sushi co-owner

ALBANY â€” The Troy man who carried out a May 29, 2024, caught-on-camera attack that left a Madison Avenue restaurateur with severe, and likely permanent, brain injuries, was sentenced to 22 years in prison on Friday.

Lucas Healey, 43, faced up to 25 years in prison for assaulting Shogun Sushi and Sake Bar co-owner Su Wen Zheng after trying to walk out on a $400 bill.

Acting state Supreme Court Justice Roger McDonough also sentenced him to five years of post-release supervision. Court records show Healey served at least two stints in prison since 2002. He previously rejected a plea deal that would have imprisoned him for 20 years…
