Troy, NY (WRGB) — Detectives from the Troy Police Department’s Special Operations Section arrested two individuals following an investigation into drug activity in the city. On May 23, 2025, at approximately 1:00 PM, officers observed a suspect involved in an ongoing drug investigation as a passenger in a vehicle near 4th Street and Polk Street.
When Troy Police Patrol Units attempted a traffic stop, the driver failed to yield, and the passenger exited the vehicle, attempting to flee on foot. Officers pursued and apprehended the passenger, identified as 37-year-old Antwon Cooper of Albany, near Colleen Road and Campbell Avenue. A search revealed Cooper was in possession of approximately 95 grams of cocaine. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, among other charges, and was arraigned in Troy City Court before being released.
The driver, identified as 34-year-old James Keyes of Schenectady, fled the scene but was later located and arrested on May 28, 2025. Keyes faces charges including obstructing governmental administration and unlawful fleeing a police officer. He was released on an appearance ticket…
