TROY — Residents paid their respects to late family members, friends and local servicemembers in Troy this week at the Wall that Heals, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The wall, unveiled in the Collar City on Thursday, includes the names of 58,281 people who died in the war. It will be on display at LaSalle Institute 24 hours a day through Sunday afternoon.
Though this is not the first time that a traveling Vietnam War memorial has landed in the Capital Region — Albany hosted a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in 2016 — this display comes during the 50th anniversary year of the war’s end…
