Where to pick your own summer fruits in the Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — As the weather gets warmer, summer fruits will be coming into season. Many farms and orchards in the area offer you-pick programs so that you can pick the ripened fruits yourself.

Typical summer pick-your-own selections include strawberries, cherries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Offerings vary according to each farm.

Take a look below for the you-pick fields throughout the Capital Region. Many farms have not yet announced their picking start dates, as they depend on the ripeness of their crops and the weather. NEWS10 will update this article as venues determine their opening dates.

Albany County

Altamont Orchards, 6654 Dunnsville Road in Altamont

Fix Brothers Fruit Farm, 215 White Birch Road in Hudson

Samascott Orchards, 5 Sunset Avenue in Kinderhook

  • Picking opening dates TBD
  • Admission: $5 per person, $2.50 for seniors 65+, free for kids under the age of 9 and military with ID

Dutchess County
