ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A 15-year-old from Albany has been arrested after allegedly being found in possession of a loaded gun, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect has reportedly been charged with a felony.

Just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, members from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office conducted a proactive investigation in the area of Lexington Avenue and Central Avenue, officials said. During the investigation, authorities allegedly found the 15-year-old with a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson gun.
Police said the arrest comes after a shots fired incident involving a group of juveniles in the same area on Friday. Albany Police Department officials reportedly recovered multiple shell casings after that incident.
The 15-year-old was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said. The suspect will also reportedly be arraigned in Albany County Family Court on Tuesday…
