Wanted for 2023 assault in Lake George and by Albany went to houses asking for water
GLENMONT – Bethlehem police arrested a Selkirk man on Sunday, June 1, after he was found to have multiple warrants, one of which was from Warren County related to a 2022 assault.
According to reports, at approximately 2:02 p.m., a River Road resident contacted police after a man with red hair wearing a baseball cap on a bicycle knocked on their door, asked for water and was acting suspiciously. An investigation found that Nicholas Harris, 37, had previously knocked and entered a house on Halter Road and began asking for water. In that case, a girl reportedly yelled “come in” when Harris knocked on the door, the report said.
When officers arrived, they found Harris walking on Glenmont Road and interviewed him. A check of his identity found he had two open warrants: one from Albany police and another from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office…
