Domestic violence experts shed light on difficulty to escape danger

GRAFTON – There were flags. There were red flags. There were other people who knew Whitney Fowler was in a dangerous place. They knew her marriage to Joshua Fowler was on the rocks. They knew she was a domestic abuse victim.

“If he laid a hand on her, I would have laid a hand on him,” is what Wayne Lundgren, Whitney’s father, told Subrina Dhammi in an exclusive interview the day after the murder.

Lundgren said at one point his daughter told him she was leaving her husband and seeking help at a battered women’s shelter…
