ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- Due to a problem with the electrical system, the Emergency Department and services at Albany Memorial were temporarily suspended Thursday, June 26.
“Earlier today (Thursday), Albany Memorial Hospital (600 Northern Blvd., Albany) experienced a significant disruption to its electrical system during routine testing of the facility’s chiller,” a Saint Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP) spokesperson said.
“As a result, the hospital’s fire detection systems were compromised, prompting the immediate and necessary decision to evacuate the building in accordance with safety protocols,” they said…
