The mayor shared the vision of what the future park will look like.

“We are going to see new equipment: a swing, spin and climb zone; a tot spot for babies and toddlers; a meadow, which is an historic feature that will be unprogrammed but open to whether it’s the library coming and doing reading or art or all kinds of opportunities for open play,” she said.

The playground will remain closed during construction. In the meantime, locals can visit other playgrounds throughout the city, including:

  • Madison Ave. Playground (Madison and Ontario)
  • Woodlawn Park Playground (Woodlawn and Partridge)
  • Empire State Playground (Empire State Plaza at Madison and Swan)
  • Lincoln Park Playground (Morton and Delaware)
  • Sheridan Park Playground (Sheridan and Dove)
  • Livingston and Lake Playground (Livingston Ave. and Lake)
