Troy man headed to prison for selling cocaine that led to deadly overdoses

A 28-year-old man from Troy was sentenced on Wednesday to a dozen years in prison for selling the cocaine that caused two deadly overdoses.

David Mathes sold the drug that caused two overdoses in Watervliet over a four-month span. Police launched an investigation in the summer of 2024, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
