Ahead of her concert on July 20 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Shania Twain has pledged $25,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. For the Latham-based nonprofit, the donation translates to about 100,000 meals.
“At the Shania Twain Foundation, we believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food,” said Twain in a statement. “These donations to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY will provide direct support throughout the region. We can make a meaningful impact across the country by helping to ensure that food banks are well stocked and, in turn, uplift people in every city we visit this summer.”
The donation is part of the country superstar’s campaign to support local food banks through her charity, the Shania Twain Foundation, at every stop of her current North American tour.
