ALBANY — The Democratic primary elections for the 3rd Ward and 6th Ward Common Council seats are headed toward recounts.
In the 3rd Ward, Arthur Lumpkin leads James Davis, with 320 votes to Davis’ 315 votes, according to the latest tallies from the Albany County Board of Elections. The two men are vying to replace Councilwoman Joyce Love, who did not run for reelection. There were 10 write-in votes in the race.
Davis could not be reached for comment. Lumpkin declined to comment while the process plays out…
