2 teens charged after Nurses Middle College bomb threat

RENSSELAER — Two teenagers face criminal charges tied to a bomb threat made against the now-defunct Nurses Middle College in Rensselaer in the spring.

A 13- and 16-year-old allegedly made threats against the institution over Snapchat on May 13. Following an investigation in coordination with city police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and State Police, the two were arrested and released, according to a news release from city police.

Both teens face felony charges of making a terroristic threat and falsely reporting a fire, explosion or hazardous substance, in addition to a misdemeanor charge of aggravated harassment…
