Albany City, County leaders tout youth programs, call to “come to table” in wake of crime

Albany — The Albany community is still reacting to a weekend stricken by juvenile crime, starting on July 4th as 10 people were shot in three separate incidents in the City.

Two days later, on Sunday, five minors, ages 10 to 13, were charged in an assault on two Subway employees on the corner of North Pearl Street and State Street.

Now, Albany officials, organizations and residents are offering solutions, along with the programs they offer which they believe are, and would, make a difference in the City moving forward…
