Community group responds to youth violence in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Community groups are continuing working to keep teenagers safe after two 15-year-olds were arrested in connection to the Fourth of July shooting and fire on Madison Avenue in Albany.

518 SNUG Trinity Alliance was out Thursday to call attention to the issue. Their violence prevention and intervention program is aimed at showing people a way to a non-violent life.

Andre Morris, the site administrator for Albany-Troy SNUG said youth violence is a disease caused by trauma and mental health issues.
