Albany leaders meet to talk about fighting youth crime

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- Albany County leaders met Thursday evening to talk about how to combat youth violence and how to fix Raise the Age legislation.

Before Raise the Age legislation was passed, 16 and 17-year-olds who entered the justice system, were treated as adults.

It has funneled millions of dollars into youth crime prevention programs but the effectiveness of those programs is being called into question…
