ALBANY — The iconic red-and-white-striped traveler is hiding again this summer at Stuyvesant Plaza, and families are invited to join the search.
Throughout the month of July, visitors can participate in “Find Waldo Local,” a nationwide campaign organized by independent bookstores and supported locally by The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza.
Waldo is hidden in plain sight at 25 participating businesses in the plaza. Shoppers can pick up a special stamp card from The Book House and collect a stamp or signature each time they locate Waldo at a listed location. Participants who collect 15 stamps will receive an “I Found Waldo” sticker and a $1 coupon toward any “Where’s Waldo” book. Those who find all 24 Waldo figures will earn additional prizes, including a collectible button and entry into a prize drawing for a deluxe six-volume Waldo box set.
