Cycle the Erie Canal Riders Pedal Through Little Falls on Epic Cross-State Journey

LITTLE FALLS, NY — Hundreds of cyclists from across the country rolled into Little Falls on Friday as part of the 27th annual Cycle the Erie Canal bike tour, a grueling yet scenic 400-mile adventure from Buffalo to Albany organized by Parks & Trails New York to celebrate the Erie Canal’s bicentennial.

The eight-day event, which kicked off July 13, draws participants of all ages and abilities to traverse the historic Erie Canalway Trail, blending exercise, history, and community spirit.

Riders departed Rome earlier in the day for a 55-mile leg to Canajoharie, with Little Falls serving as a welcome midpoint stop for rest, repairs, and refreshments…
