Deputies seize 200 grams of cocaine from Albany business

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– About 200 grams of cocaine was taken from a business located at 742 Third Street in Albany Tuesday, following an ongoing narcotics’ investigation. According to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, the owner of the business, 65-year-old Samuel Guerrero, was arrested after the search.

Deputies said around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, a search warrant was executed at Guerrero’s business, following a narcotics’ investigation. The search uncovered the cocaine, which deputies determined to be intended for distribution and sale and packaging materials.

Guerrero was charged with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a class A-II felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B felony
  • Criminally Using Drug paraphernalia in the Second Degree, a class A misdemeanor

Deputies transported Guerrero to the Albany County Correctional Facility as a pre-arraign detainee Tuesday. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court on Wednesday.
