Albany man accused of selling cocaine out of his auto repair shop

ALBANY — Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 65-year-old man Tuesday afternoon after officers found at his place of business almost half a pound of cocaine, which he allegedly intended to sell.

At around 11 a.m., several Albany County sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at 742 Third St., an auto repair shop where Samuel Guerrero conducts business, according to the sheriff’s office. In the main office of the building, officers found “a cardboard box under the desk which contained a quantity of a white powdery substance consistent with cocaine along with a quantity of packaging materials,” according to police. The 195-gram substance later tested positive for cocaine, police said.

Guerrero was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony, and one misdemeanor count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned on Wednesday in Albany City Criminal Court and pleaded not guilty, according to court records…
