Halfmoon man accused of whipping a rottweiler with a leash

Saratoga County, NY (WRGB) — A Halfmoon man has been arrested following an investigation into a complaint of animal cruelty, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office announced. 45-year-old Jonathan Dailey was taken into custody on charges of overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals, a class A misdemeanor.

Authorities said Dailey is accused of whipping a rottweiler in the face with a leash, stepping on its head, and shoving the animal with his leg. The rottweiler was seized by Halfmoon animal control under a court order and has been evaluated at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter…
