Dive teams recover body from submerged car in Columbia County investigation

Columbia County, NY (WRGB) — The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death after a vehicle was discovered submerged in Kinderhook Creek off Lindenwald Avenue. Sheriff Donald J. Krapf reported that the incident was first brought to the attention of authorities at approximately 9:00 AM on Friday, July 25.

Upon receiving the report, the Sheriff’s Office responded promptly, deploying the Mobile Command Center to the scene. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Dive Team, with assistance from the Hudson Dive Team, successfully located a man from the water. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
